AI News Agent

To help me stay aware of the major headlines, I asked Base44's AI agent to send me a daily brief on the 10 most important news stories mentioned across major platforms. For those who have worked in DC (and those who like to keep tabs on the political happenings), there's a LOT of news to keep track of. I've found this agent to be a way to give me the information I want in the way I want it.
What's cool is that it can be curated to your liking. For me, I like knowing breaking/developing stories and following developments on the hill and in foreign policy. I also prefer having these sent to me each morning via WhatsApp. For others, they can alter their topics/outlets or even the way they receive their briefings (via email, with detailed analysis, twice a day, etc.).

When I staffed principals at the State Department, it was commonplace to include a section on major/relevant news stories in a daily morning book. While I've used this as a personal tool, this is something that could save hours for the staffer responsible for compiling the daily book.
Of course, this doesn't fully replace reading articles and newsletters to get a comprehensive understanding of a topic. But it can be a way to stay aware of major headlines in what is a very busy world.
